Property market re-invogorated by Spring

Spring is in the air and the recent sunshine has done a great deal to raise spirits across the board.

With house prices only rising 1% in average value across the UK in 2011 you may be forgiven for viewing that as a pretty poor performance. But set it into context against a background of economic anaemia and it’s our opinion that property prices are surprisingly resilient. It’s a trend that is set to stay in 2012 so there is a very real reason to be optimistic.

We’ve seen the number of property viewings rise sharply in March, not unusual for the time of year but a real, marked increase showing that there is enthusiasm from potential buyers to get away from the stream of internet searches and view bricks and mortar.

A little sunshine will always do wonders for even the most dour looking property and it doesn’t take a huge amount of effort to make property more presentable. So oil the lawnmower blades, clean the windows and make time for a spring clean!
